Today we remember all Mothers in a special way. We remember them every day, but today we share special memories for the Moms throughout the world.
We pray for our Mom’s, Grandmother’s, God-Mothers, Step Mothers, Adoptive Mothers, those who are pregnant and preparing for motherhood, for widowed/single Dads who are also Mom’s, Mom’s who are celebrating their lives in the presence of the Creator of all Faiths, Mom’s in war-torn nations, Mom’s in free nations, Mom’s of all races, colors, creeds, and orientations.
We must also pray for the Mom’s who might have abandoned their children, lost their way in this world, and were/are in need of a great deal of love, understanding, and acceptance. We pray for Mom’s who are ill, physically and mentally, and those who may be suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s. We also, finally, pray for those Mom’s who have been abused, battered, and beaten and who courageously moved forward as best as possible.
We pray with Mary who is the Mom of all Mom’s and whose life is one of leadership, sensitivity, openness, joy and suffering. She is the great model of unconditional love and complete non-judgmentalism – open and loving to all with whom she came into contact. She never abandoned her Son and worked diligently with her spouse Joseph to live a model of love, courage, safety, and security.
Thank you Creator of us all for the gifts that have been given to us by our Mother. We are grateful for their courage, strength, guidance and unwavering love. Bless them with Your love as we honor them all today. Happy Mother’s Day today and everyday!
